Natural Gas Orifice/Differential Measurement

We perform work on multiple well pads, large gas gathering systems, system balancing, and plant/station measurement. Peak Measurement uses Flow-Cal’s TESTit meter test software for reporting. Each technician’s truck is equipped with the tools and test equipment necessary to perform the following work:
 

  • Orifice Meters:

    • installation/commissioning

    • testing/calibration

    • troubleshooting/repair

    • routine maintenance

  • Proficient In:

    • Allocation

    • Check

    • system balancing

    • custody transfer

  • Basic Meter Tube Inspection and Cleaning:

    • Perform Borescope meter tube inspections

    • Cleaning of meter tubes

    • Removal of debris if necessary

  • Detailed Meter Tube Inspections:

    • Perform detailed meter tube inspections in accordance with CFR 3175.80, (i) and API 14.3.2, Subsections 5.1 through 5.4 and API 14.3.2, subsection 6.2

    • Inspections can be performed in the field or in our shop

 

This measurement is manufactured, installed and maintained under AGA Report No. 3 and 13 and API Chapter 14 and 21.
 

Our operating procedure and reporting is compliant with 43 CFR Part 3170, Subpart 3175 Requirements.

Portable/Mobile Natural Gas Chromatography

Each technician’s truck is equipped with an Inficon Fusion Micro GC with a C9+ gas analysis capabilities and Diablo EZReporter software with database to perform the following functions:

  • Field Natural Gas Analysis

  • Installation/Commissioning

  • Development of Methods

  • Proper Field Operation

  • Routine Maintenance

  • Troubleshooting/Repair

  • Verification/Calibration of Portable Gas Chromatographs

 

Peak Measurement operates portable gas chromatographs under a standard operating procedure based upon the following industry standards: API Chapter 14 Section1, GPA 2145, 2198, 2161, 2166, and 2172.

 

Our operating procedure and reporting is compliant with 43 CFR Part 3170, Subpart 3175 requirements.

 

Our PGCs have passed external audits performed by Accurate Lab Audits.

Field Oil/Condensate Analysis

Perform analysis for water & sediment in crude oil; In accordance with API 10.4. Determine API Gravity of liquid petroleum products by hydrometer. In accordance with
API 9.1.

Witnessing of Meter Tests & Meter Proving

With our experience and knowledge of BLM and industry standards, we can witness the performance of meter tests and meter proving at custody transfer points. It is also important to witness the compliance and capability of measurement technicians that perform work at custody transfer measurement points.

Measurement Systems Troubleshooting & Repair

Perform troubleshooting and repair of gas and liquid measurement systems. Peak Measurement has configuration and diagnostic software for multiple types of meter manufacturers; We also

have electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and repair most measurement systems.

Peak Measurement & Analysis is a field service company providing oil and gas production and gathering companies with field/mobile measurement and other services. Brian has over fifteen years of experience in the Measurement and Analysis industry. Brian and his team of qualified measurement technicians are prepared to provide you with the quality service you need.

Brian Roberts 

PRESIDENT & CEO, Peak Measurement & Analysis

Founder of Peak Measurement & Analysis, an oilfield support company helping producers maximize profits through accurate measurement and other solutions while maintaining compliance with BLM requirements.

 

Before founding Peak Measurement & Analysis, Brian worked for over 8 years in the Measurement & Analysis Industry. He began his career in 2009 with Enterprise Products as a measurement technician. In 2013 he took a position with QEP Field Services, and in 2014 became Measurement Supervisor in the Rock Springs, WY location. In 2016 Brian earned his AAS degree from WWCC in Electrical & Instrumentation Technology.  He has in-depth knowledge of gas and liquid measurement and analysis. He has built balance sheets for gathering, compression, and processing assets and has extensive knowledge of the measurement and analysis of these processes.

 

Before venturing out into the world of oil and gas, Brian worked as an A&P Mechanic (aircraft mechanic) for over 10 years.

 

Brian enjoys building, upgrading and driving old cars, which necessitates an “inventory” of parts located around his property. He and his family enjoy exploring the hills around Rock Springs in their Jeep, camping, and most any activity that takes them outdoors. Brian is a proud Wyoming native and loves the Cowboy state.

 

Jennifer Roberts, CPA, MBA

VICE PRESIDENT & CFO, Peak Measurement & Analysis

Jennifer Roberts is co-founder of Peak Measurement & Analysis. 


Jennifer assists Brian with business planning and execution as well as performs all of the administrative functions of the company.
 

Jennifer earned her MBA from Southern Utah University in 2009 and became a licensed CPA in 2011. She worked as a financial analyst and tax and financial records preparer for several years.  With the growth of Peak Measurement, Jennifer quit her outside gig in 2020 and now focuses her expertise on Peak Measurement & Analysis full time.

 

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She loves music and fitness and uses both to help maintain her sanity. Jennifer also hails from the great state of Wyoming and is proud to call it home.
